“His medical condition is dire,” Norm Pattis, Dulos' attorney told Judge Gary White on Wednesday, Jan. 29 during the hearing in Stamford.

Pattis also said Dulos' family was expected to arrive later Wednesday from his native Greece and waived extradition proceedings so the family could visit him at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.

Dulos is in critical condition after apparently attempting suicide by carbon monoxide at his Farmington, Connecticut mansion on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Paramedics reportedly performed CPR on Dulos for 30 minutes before finding a pulse.

While in the hospital, Dulos, who is charged with the murder of Jennifer Dulos of New Canaan, is being guarded by NYPD officers.

During the hearing, which was held after questions arose surrounding the stability of the insurance covering Dulos' $6 million bail, the judge said Dulos would be rearrested if he is released from the hospital.

He also increased the bond amount by $500,000 to $6.5 million.

The New York Post is reporting that celebrity bondsman Ira Judelson is expected to back Dulos’ bond.

“I’m prepared to as long as we get everything we need to get it in place,” he told The Post.

Jennifer Dulos has been missing since Friday, May 24.

According to police arrest reports, officials believe that Dulos killed his wife when she returned home from dropping their five children off at school and then disposed of her body.

Dulos has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
